WTF is this?

(About)

Western PA, March 8, 2025 — Two women (who happened to be mother and daughter) woke up every morning to the same news as you. They spent the morning mumbling “WTF?” just like you do. They asked themselves, each other, their friends and their families: “WTF DO WE DO?”

But they didn’t know.

We didn’t know.

We knew that there were other reasonable Americans in our community — Democrats, Republicans and Independents — but we couldn’t find them or what they were doing to stand up to the wannabe king and his unelected henchmen. So we decided to make a central source for what YOU can do in Westmoreland County. WTF YOU CAN DO. (Get it?)

It’s kinda evolved from there.

Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change.
— The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world

That’s why we show up. That’s why we rally, protest and raise our voices. Because in Westmoreland County, 3.5% is only about 11,000 people.

We don’t need to convince everyone — just enough of us to act together.

Mission Statement

WTF Can I Do Westmoreland is a grassroots political movement that exists, first and foremost, to take a stand—against Donald Trump and his coup attempt, against Elon Musk and his DOGE bros and against the looming dystopia of Project 2025.

We’re here to fight for the future. Real action, not just talk. We believe when enough of us show up, things have to change. Our mission is to inspire and mobilize the people of Westmoreland County to shape that future together.

We amplify local voices and advocate for policies rooted in justice, equality, freedom and a government that actually works for us. We believe rallies, protests and just showing up together are acts of resistance and community. They remind us that we’re not alone—and that joy, solidarity, and a little yelling can be powerful fuel for change.

If you’re frustrated, fired up, and ready to figure out WTF you can do—Welcome. You’re in the right place. Maybe we’ll even make politics a little less soul-crushing along the way.
